Itinerary
10:00 am - Members of the Los Angeles Concierge Association arrived at the Ritz-Carlton, Huntington in Pasadena for a deluxe continental breakfast in the Tournament of Roses Suite. At 3,660 square feet, it is the largest suite in Pasadena's finest hotel. Pasadena City Councilmember Sid Tyler welcomed the group and read a proclamation from the city declaring April 19, 2007 as "Los Angeles Concierge Association Day" in Pasadena.

11:00 am - LACA departed the Ritz-Carlton, Huntington in a motorcoach (provided by CJL Security) for a driving tour through some of Pasadena’s most beautiful neighborhoods. The tour included the Blacker House by architects Greene and Greene, the "Father of the Bride" house, the $ 52 million house for sale as a "fixer-upper" and lots of Craftsman masterpieces.
12:00 noon - Guests arrived at Paseo Colorado, Pasadena’s upscale shopping center located in the civic center area, one block south of City Hall at Garfield Avenue and Colorado Boulevard.

12:00 noon - Lunch was provided by Porto Alegre Churrascaria, a Brazilian Steak House. Guests were welcomed and given a brief overview of the Civic Auditorium and the new construction of the Convention Center by Mike Ross, CEO of the Pasadena Center Operating Company.

1:10 pm - The group boarded the motorcoach for transportation to the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens. En route, they passed the Pacific Asia Museum, the Pasadena Playhouse (California’s State Theatre), the South Lake Avenue Shopping District, and Caltech plus more of Pasadena's beautiful neighborhoods.
1:30 pm - LACA arrived at the Huntington Library, Art Galleries and Botanical Gardens. Two docents led guided tours offering an abbreviated, quick-paced estate overview. The impressed visitors had time for a quick glance at the historic folios of William Shakespeare, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and the Gutenberg Bible, saw the Rose Garden in perfect bloom, got to see the breathtaking Japanese Garden and the ambitious explorers got to see the magnificent desert garden.

2:30 pm - The group departed the Huntington for the Norton Simon Museum, one of the most celebrated art collections in the world.
2:50 pm - LACA arrived at the Norton Simon Museum for a docent-led private tour that featured masterworks of the Impressionists collection.

3:30 pm - The group departed the Norton Simon Museum for a short bus tour pointing out the Wrigley Mansion (the Tournament of Roses headquarters), the old Vista del Arroyo hotel (now the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals building), the Colorado Street Bridge and the Pasadena Museum of History, featuring the 100-year-old Fenyes Mansion.
3:50 pm - LACA arrived at the Gamble House for a private docent-led tour of one of America's architectural treasures. This exquisite Greene and Greene-designed home is now a museum and is considered one of the greatest examples of Craftsman architecture in the world.

4:35 pm - The group departed the Gamble House for the Rose Bowl.
4:45 pm - Private tour of the world-famous Rose Bowl stadium, a national treasure.

6:15 pm - LACA departed Twin Palms for a short walk to Cafe Santorini in the One Colorado Plaza in Old Pasadena.
6:30 pm - Cafe Santorini hosted a delicious Farewell Dinner.

6:45 pm - A business card raffle drawing chose the winners of terrific for prizes and gifts.
7:30- 8:00 pm - Motorcoach shuttled guests back to the Ritz-Carlton, Huntington to retrieve private vehicles.
